If you’ve read my posts, you know I don’t take intervention lightly. I’ve castigated our operations in Libya, and am definitely reluctant to enter into Syria’s mess of a war, mainly because of the fallout should we “succeed” in removing Assad, but ISIL is a different breed altogether. One that rises to my level of threat, and one that needs to be dealt with.

I just finished reading all your books in order again. I must say you are pretty good at this writing thing. Actually, I think it’s time for you to remove the quotation marks from “real writer” and state what you are, a really good real writer. Just saying.
Anyway, two things I wanted to say. First, I have tried signing up for your news letter, but never receive any emails afterwards; not even in my junk mail. What to do?
Second, I noticed that Edward Snowden has been nominated for the Nobel Peace prize. WHAT!!! I met you at the Coronado book signing (you might remember me, I was the one who unintentionally insulted you. I still cringe when I think of it) and you spoke about Snowden. I can’t imagine that this esteemed panel would even use the word “peace” in the same sentence as Snowden. What do you think?

Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying the series. As for the newsletters, we only put them out quarterly, so you probably haven’t missed anything. I don’t want to spam people. I’ve got one coming out soon. As for insulting me, don’t worry about it – I don’t remember anything like that, so it mustn’t have been too bad. As for the Nobel Peace Prize, that thing went sideways a long time ago. It’s just a means for a dedicated group to honor one of their own, regardless of any other justification. It’s worthless, and has been since Al Gore got one for his documentary.
I read the back and forth commentary on the WOTR site. Snarky commentary by those who disagree with you. I guess that as the home grown Islamic sympathizers in Oklahoma (a beheading) or New York (axe attack on police) didn’t have ID cards showing dues paid membership i ISIS, containment is working. Thats my snark by the way
